Applying a Linear Allowance Multiplier to an Assigned Unit

To apply a Linear Allowance multiplier to an assigned compatible unit

The Linear Allowance box on the Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box lets you specify a multiplier that reflects the extra linear material (such as conductor, conduit, pipe) that will be required for a compatible unit associated with a work span. Bentley OpenUtilities Designer will multiply the material cost of the unit by the multiplier that you select in the Linear Allowance box. The Linear Allowance multiplier also increments the quantity of span material for this unit when you run the Bill of Materials report. For more information, see Linear Allowance.
  1. From the list of assigned facilities and units displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the unit that requires adjustment and select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Linear Allowance box, type a value and click OK.
